石咀镇是广东省肇庆市广宁县西部的一个镇，东北邻古水镇，东南邻洲仔镇，南接木格镇，西北与怀集县相邻，距县城48公里，面积约83.56平方千米。[1][2]镇辖1个社区、5个行政村，镇人民政府驻石咀墟。[1][3]1961年成立石嘴公社，1986年设镇。[1]全镇以山地林业为主，蚕桑与茶竹两项产业曾列入广东省“一乡一品”项目。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代归广宁县膺洞铺管辖，1911年划入青田乡，1950年改属县的第六区。此后建制几经变化：1961年成立石嘴公社，1983年公社改为区，至1986年设镇。[1]

镇名的由来有记载两种：一说清乾隆十二年（1747年），人们在山嘴建总镇庙，形成庙会，又沿河盖起店铺，街道全用石头铺砌，故称石咀；另一说则以地形得名：辖区里有座石山，形状像鹰的嘴，叫石嘴，“嘴”“咀”两字通用。[1][5]

地理环境[edit]

据镇政府的介绍，石咀镇位于广宁县西部，年平均气温19.8摄氏度，年降雨量平均约1550毫米。境内有怀集县永固河的一条支流，自东南向西北流入古水镇什洞，与永固河汇合后注入绥江。[2]

三宿山在镇东面，与古水镇交界，最高处海拔1020米，是广宁的名山之一；据介绍，山高而大，古时游一遍至少要三天三夜，故名“三宿”。[2][6]

全镇林业用地约103621亩，占总面积的83%，森林覆盖率78%；树种有杉、松、柯木等，竹类有青皮竹、茶竹、麻竹和毛竹。矿产以磁铁矿、镜铁矿为主，铅锌、钨等矿集中在三宿山一带。[2]

人口[edit]

2021年6月公布的第七次全国人口普查结果显示，石咀镇人口为9800人，在广宁县各街道乡镇中排第14位。[1]镇政府的早期介绍称全镇有人口16000多人，未注明年份。[2]

经济[edit]

据镇政府的介绍，主要收入来源是劳务输出和农业。种植基地方面，沙糖桔1500亩，速生丰产林21000亩，竹子25000亩，桑蚕500亩。蚕桑和茶竹两项被列入省“一乡一品”项目。[2]

石咀墟占地约3平方公里，逢农历初三、初六、初九为墟日，邻镇、邻县的人也来赶集。[2]2005年，镇通往各行政村的公路全部改建为水泥路面。[2]

社会事业[edit]

镇政府的介绍称，镇内办有幼儿园1所、小学6所、初中1所，共有教职工112人、学生1971人（幼儿园计在内）；墟镇上有卫生院，每个村和社区各设一处卫生站。[2]

镇下辖石咀社区和5个行政村：建中村、岗坪村、南源村、浪沙村、沙步村。清道光年间，这些地方的旧名分别是石咀街、黄塘寨、岗头、南源坑、浪寨、沙步垌，都属膺洞铺。[4]
