沙步村是广东省肇庆市广宁县石咀镇下辖的行政村，在镇的西部，北面是古水镇什洞村，西面是怀集县永固镇，离墟镇9公里，面积约13.85平方千米。[1]
历史沿革与地名[edit]
清道光年间称沙步垌，属膺洞铺；1930年为沙步乡，属三区。1951年立沙步行政村，隶六区浪沙乡；1958年改大队，1983年改乡，1984年称村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年起沿称沙步村委会。[2]1951年建乡政府时沿用“沙步”旧名。[3]
人口与经济[edit]
博雅地名网（未注明年份）载：全村2052人，分17个村民小组，耕地984亩，林地约18351亩。村民栽茶竹2000亩、沙糖桔700亩、用材林3500亩，也种木薯。集体有木器加工厂（400平方米）和装机120千瓦的水电站，该网称其为全镇集体经济最强的村。[1]
