大信村在横山镇，位于广木线旁，距县城10公里、距横山圩16公里，是镇内最偏远的村；辖25个村民小组，面积约10.73平方公里，博雅地名网载总人口3744人。[1]

地名由来[edit]

1958年成立生产大队时，取“以信义为人”的美德之意，定名大信。[1]此前清代这里称大良。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1930年称大良乡，1954年设大良口、西村两社，1958年两社并成大信大队；1983年改乡，1987年为村民委员会，1989年改称管理区，1998年复称村民委员会。[2]

经济[edit]

村里仅有一条过境公路，四面环山，集体经济靠山地：多种砂糖桔、青竹、厘竹；水田种水稻、花生，鱼塘养四大家鱼，塘基养猪。[1]大信村进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单（2019年9月公布）。[1]
