五和社区即五和镇政府所在的圩镇一带，在广宁县五和镇，紧靠江绿线（S263）。居委会辖38个村民小组，6449人，辖区约17平方千米，是镇上的核心居委会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地原名镇村。清道光年间归田心铺，1930年立镇村乡，属第四区。1957年有镇村、三坑、新屋三个农业社，次年三社合编为一个镇村大队，1967年三坑、新屋又各自成立的大队也并了进来。其后依次改为镇村乡（1983年）、镇村村民委员会（1987年）、镇村管理区（1989年），1998年重回村民委员会之称，2004年定名五和社区居民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

社区与县城相距32公里。种养以桉树、水稻、花生、木薯和家鱼为主。[1]2019年9月，社区进入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
