下源村在广宁县五和镇西北，离镇政府约6公里，位于山区，是革命老区。村里下分14个自然村，编为25个村民小组，共394户1877人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清道光年间，村属田心铺。1956年建立下源农业社；之后建制数度更名，1983年称乡，1987年成村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年起为下源村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
山地约3800亩，水田960亩。据博雅地名网所引材料，该村集体年收入只有2.5万元，人均收入2850元，曾是贫困村。主要种养方式为：山上桉树，田里水稻、花生与木薯，塘中四大家鱼。[1]2019年9月，村被列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」。[1]
