历史沿革[edit]
庄源在1930年成乡。1956年有庄源农业社，1958年改大队，到1968年大队改称坑仔，1983年才又用回庄源之名。1987年设村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年起为村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村里靠肉桂产业帮扶村民增收，并以农耕与肉桂文化发展乡村旅游，已建肉桂文化公园和乡村振兴文化长廊。[1]2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局把庄源村列为2021年广东省乡村治理示范村的创建单位。[1]
