朝南社区位于肇庆市鼎湖区广利街新港路旁，辖区3.5平方千米，分5个小组，距市区28公里、距街道办事处5公里。[1]
地名与历史[edit]
村中房屋都依北靠南的朝向修建，故称朝南。[1]1953年归高要县第八区的塘口乡，1959年叫朝南大队；1963年同塘口大队合为一个，1986年又分出，另设朝南村民委员会；2002年4月起设社区居委会。[1][2]
经济[edit]
居委会概况称社区人口697人（年份未注明），种植水稻、花生和香蕉，鱼塘养四大家鱼，塘基上养猪、鹅、鸭、鸡。[1]2019年9月，朝南社区入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」。[1]
