木瓜村是信宜市思贺镇辖下的行政村，在镇域西部，村域1.059平方公里、耕地1186.95亩，分6个村民小组[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1961年立木瓜公社，1963年并入思贺公社，同年立木瓜大队；1983年改设乡政府，1987年起为村民委员会，1991年一度叫管理区办事处，1999年复称木瓜村民委员会并沿用至今[1]。

名称由来[edit]

明朝初年，谢姓汉人迁来，在小河两侧的平缓地带居住；相传当时木瓜树茂密，开山垦荒时粮食断绝，以木瓜充饥，后人遂以此为名[2]。
