地名由来[edit]
该村位于榃棉、北永、甘垌、坳垌四村之间，原属北永乡，因而得名北中。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立前期，此地归北永乡；1958年另立北中生产大队，此后经乡政府、管理区办事处等阶段，1999年起称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年12月，该村获广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
