童子垠村是广东省茂名市信宜市平塘镇辖下的行政村，位于镇乡结合区。[1]
地名由来[edit]
据博雅地名网，村里的铜鼓山半山腰立着一块一米多高的石头，形如十来岁的孩童。传说石童一喊，山上的铜鼓就会响，当年村里便出人才；村又处在山垠，故称童子垠。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1960年以前，此地归倒流大队。1961年另立童子垠生产大队，此后经乡政府、管理区办事处等阶段，1999年起称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2023年5月，该村获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号；2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
