历史沿革[edit]

村名来历：建村较晚，起初没有合适的名字，后来由村民定名垌新。[1]

村级建置的演变如下：1953年起是垌新乡生产队。1983年时，称垌新乡政府。到1987年时，改为垌新村民委员会。接着在1989年，称管理区办事处。最终在1999年，复称村民委员会至今。[1]

文化[edit]

  • 2020年8月，入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单（来源写作「南华李」）。[1]
  • 2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
