城郊社区在信宜市区近郊，隶属玉都街道，因位于城乡结合部而得名[1]。

名称与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区名取自它所处的城乡结合部[1]。1961年以前，这片地方由大坡山、塘面、新里、六谢四个管理区分管。1961年建信城公社，下有城北、城南、城锦、城中四个大队，1969年四队合为城郊大队，1983年立乡，1987年设村委会，1989年称管理区。2005年3月21日实行村改居，成立社区居民委员会，仍属东镇街道，2021年5月转属玉都街道[1]。

概况与荣誉[edit]

社区下设29个村民小组，在册1226户、5200人（未注明年份），总面积6平方公里，主要种蔬菜；所记上一年经济总收入12703万元，并已完成两个城中村改造项目[1]。2019年9月入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号[1]。
