文昌社区在信宜市城区以北，隶属玉都街道，旧名昆棠堡[1]。

名称与沿革[edit]

博雅地名网载，驻地原来叫昆棠堡，后改名文昌[1]。这里1958年隶竹山公社，叫昆棠堡大队，1983年成昆棠堡乡，1987年定为麓堡村委员会，1989年恢复昆棠堡管理区之称，1995年起叫文昌管理区，1999年又称文昌村委会。到2005年3月21日这里村改居，成立文昌社区居民委员会，2021年5月转入玉都街道[1]。
