1998年9月16日，依化府办复〔1998〕12号文件成立那务圩居民委员会；2003年，化州市人民政府规范名称，改为那务居民委员会；2017年又改称那务社区居民委员会。[1]

社区驻地与辖区大致在镇区中心，名称即取此意。[1]

据社区自述，辖区总面积3平方公里，属南亚热带季风气候，年平均气温22.6，年降雨量约1842。[1]
