天堂村属广东省高州市大井镇，是镇下辖的行政村，地处海拔180多米的丘陵。[1]

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网所记，村在海拔180多米的丘陵地带，周围地势都比它低，像一块高台，溪流汇集处有一处天然跌水，叫天堂陂，因此称天堂大队，后改称天堂村委会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

天堂大队成立于1961年，原叫大塘大队，因与高州分界公社下的一个大队同名，经群众讨论、上级批准改名。1983年建乡，1986年改称农村管理区，1999年起设村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，天堂村获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
