地名由来[edit]
村址在一处坡地上，坡的下段较陡、上段平缓，人称上平坡，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
上平大队原属南塘公社，1961年公社体制下放后划归从南塘公社分出的大井公社。1983年建乡，1986年改称农村管理区，1999年起设村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年12月，上平村获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
