名称由来[edit]

1960年新星大队和龙屋大队合并，新名字取新星的“新”，又取龙屋的“龙”；后来觉得“龙”字带有封建色彩，改为“农”字，于是称新农。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新农大队1960年成立，1983年起称新农乡，1986年又变为农村管理区，1999年定名为新农村民委员会，此名用到现在。[1]
