上平山村在电白区黄岭镇西北部，辖17个村民小组，在册630户、2975人，总面积8.15平方公里，耕地690亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

上平山生产大队设于1960年；1983年改乡，1987年设村委会，1989年改管理区，1999年再称村委会，沿用至今。[1]

经济[edit]

村民种水稻，冬闲时在田里种四季豆、青瓜等外运蔬菜，山地上则种南蕉，已有约500亩，每年增收40多万元。据博雅地名网转述的村介绍，全村大部分农户已盖起楼房，村里还组织劳动技能培训、输出劳务。[2]

村镇荣誉[edit]

该村在2019年9月入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」；2023年5月，省爱卫会把「2022年广东省卫生村」的称号授予该村。[1]
