历史沿革[edit]
相传先祖迁到这里时，村中长着几棵大荔枝树，村子又靠着名教河，于是取名荔枝江。[1]
解放初属车板乡；1957年，雷公山、荔枝江、大岭等9条村组成荔枝江小乡；1977年改称荔枝江大队，1983年改乡，1987年改管理区，1999年定名荔枝江村委会。[1]
人口民族[edit]
村委会辖9条自然村，登记总人口2650人，党员75人（博雅地名网，未注明年份）。[1]
经济[edit]
耕地3225亩，种水稻、花生、甘蔗、蔬菜。2021年9月，荔枝江村作为番薯专业村，进入第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单。[1]
2021年1月，荔枝江村入选湛江市2020年度全市文明村；2026年1月，获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
