博教村是安铺镇的行政村，据村名由来，先祖是博士，取“博古今以教子孙”之意命名[1][2]。

1950年起归属廉江县第四区博教行政村，1958年起归属博教大队、横山公社，1963年至1979年起归属河堤公社，1983年起改称博教乡，1987年起称作博教管理区，1999年起改称博教村委会[1]。

南方+2025年1月的报道提到，博教村有禾虫养殖的尝试[3]。
