三墩村是安铺镇的行政村，据传这里原是一片汪洋，由安铺河长年冲积成陆，中间有三个小墩，林姓住上墩，莫姓住下墩，合称三墩[1][2]。

1959年起为三墩大队，1983年起改称三墩乡，1985年起称作三墩管理区，属河堤镇；其后1997年起归安铺镇管辖，1999年起改称三墩村委会[1]。

2026年1月，三墩村获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」[1]。
