历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历：村四周群山环绕，村后有三座山，由近到远一座高过一座，村民取离村最近、也最矮的一座为名。[1]

建制沿革：低山、上坝、大旺垌等村在1950至1957年间合办一个乡政府，设于低山村；自1958年起分别设机构，低山一带为低山大队；1984年恢复乡政府，1987年设管理区，1999年起为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2019年9月公布）。[1]
