历史沿革[edit]
苏姓自福建晋江迁来，传至五代苏伯川时没有儿子，便过继了内兄李惟能的儿子，村因此称苏李村，后简称苏村[1]。1952年为行政村，1957年为小乡，1958年为大队；1961年并入新联公社，1964年又分出，1983年改乡委会[1]。
物产[edit]
苏村番薯的主要品种是蕹菜薯，生长期约6个月，比一般番薯长两个月；薯块大，最重的约1.5千克，含水少而淀粉足，存放时不易烂。原国家质检总局在2014年10月11日批准将其列为地理标志保护产品[2]。博雅地名网说它以香甜、松脆闻名[1]。
人文[edit]
村内有市场、商店和初中、小学，是明代举人苏李宾的故居所在[1]。
