村名的来历：村后山势像飞燕，村民取名燕山，以后又分成上燕山村与下燕山村，村委会取所辖的燕山村为名。[1]
建制沿革：1952年土改后建燕山乡人民政府，1958年后称大队，1984年又称乡人民政府，1987年改设村民委员会，1989年称管理区，1999年起称燕山村委会。[1]
