深水垌村是廉江市城南街道所辖的行政村，位于廉江市区西南面，廉江河从村域穿过。村委会下辖深水垌、西瓜坡等17条自然村，人口4930人。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年至1957年，深水垌与流江合组为乡，乡政府设在深水垌。[3]

概况[edit]

村域面积约2.5平方公里，耕地3843亩，山林地约1350亩，种有荔枝、龙眼等830亩，淡水养殖约300亩，外运蔬菜种植面积6600多亩，年产10300多吨。村内有完全小学、卫生站和幼儿园各一所。[1][2] 东头坡村至坡笪村一线公路两旁有较多闲置土地，被视为市区工业发展的重点地带；2022年11月，广东省人民政府批复了涉及该村两个经济合作社土地的城镇建设用地。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，深水垌村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
