新风社区是廉江市城南街道所辖的社区，居委会驻地在新风市场旁，名称由此而来。[1]

居委会成立于2000年10月，原属石城镇，2004年5月撤廉城镇、设街道后划归城南街道。[1]
概况[edit]
据博雅地名网所载介绍，社区设2个居民小组，居住人口约1.3万人，面积约1.2平方公里，廉江大道和石城大道纵贯辖区。辖区里设有城南汽车站，还有商贸城、蔬果外销市场和几家食品、纺织企业，学校有廉江市第六中学、第九小学和石城中心幼儿园，石城派出所也设在社区中心。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，新风社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
