赤农村是徐闻县龙塘镇的行政村，在镇境南部，面积19.51平方公里，下辖和面、下洋、博赊、昌发等14个自然村，村委会驻昌发村。[1][2]名称以「赤」表忠诚，希望农民赤胆忠心。[1]

博赊港[edit]

境内的博赊港是小型渔船避风的天然渔港，也是1950年解放海南岛渡海作战的起渡点之一。[2]据百度百科，港口因傍博赊村得名，清康熙年间村民的先祖自海南迁来定居后逐渐形成；今主要供渔业使用，港口附近有第四纪玄武岩柱状节理，现有红色教育基地。[3]

2004年，全村805户3943人，耕地8727亩，农业总产值3289万元；有小学5所。[2]下洋村是新加坡华侨领袖黄道美的家乡，他担任过新加坡雷州会馆的馆长和湛江市海外联谊会的主席。[2]

荣誉[edit]

湛江市2020年度全市先进文明村的名单（2021年1月公布）里有赤农村；2023年5月，14个自然村全部获评2022年广东省卫生村；2026年3月，被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
