北坡镇在广东省湛江市遂溪县的西南部，处于雷州半岛上，镇政府设在北坡圩，距遂溪县政府所在的遂城镇约55千米[1][4]。全镇面积164平方千米，下辖2个社区、15个行政村和1个村级的林场生活区[1][2]。2024年末户籍总人口60084人[4]。

镇域在1986年12月之前属遂溪县第二区，这一年撤区设镇[1]。北坡游鱼是流传在当地的元宵灯彩，2018年被列入广东省非物质文化遗产[4]。

历史沿革[edit]

北坡镇所在的地方，原来是遂溪县的第二区；1986年12月撤销区的建制，改设北坡镇[1]。下辖的北坡村因村委会驻地在北坡老圩而得名[3]。

2024年的镇情材料称，北坡镇属广东省首批中心镇，荣誉包括“全国文明村镇”和“全国农业产业强镇”，省一级的有宜居示范城镇、名镇，市一级有生态文明镇[4]。博雅地名网另列有国家级生态乡镇（2010至2011年度）和广东省卫生城镇（2021年度）的名单[3]。

北坡镇的北面是杨柑镇，东面与乌塘镇、城月镇相接，南面是河头镇和雷州市客路镇，西面是港门镇[1][2]。镇域地势起伏很小，土壤多为半沙质，水田一带是炭质黑土；流经境内的主要水道有三合河、南渡河和雷州青年运河[2]。气候属热带季风气候，年平均气温22.8℃，年平均降雨量1771.3毫米[2]。

省道S290和S545两条公路穿过镇区[4]。

行政区划[edit]

镇辖新城、坡糖2个社区，以及架岭、北坡、文典、虾沟、动土、下担、新屋、赵屋、上塘、北塘、水南、鹤门、三合、下黎、南渡15个行政村，另辖北坡林场生活区[2]。其中新城社区得名于北坡镇的新城改造区域，坡糖社区则因办公地点在北坡糖厂而得名，原是糖厂的生活区，2005年因企业改制而定名[3]。镇情材料记2024年全镇有17个村（社区）委员会，自然村146个[4]。

经济[edit]

2024年，全镇土地面积约24.6万亩，耕地15.11万亩[4]。主要作物是木葱、辣椒、水果玉米和番薯，当地推出的农产品品牌有来自虾沟的红米、下担的甘蔗良种，以及红糖和新屋的薯粉[4]。2020年8月，广东省农业农村厅公布首批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村，下担村（甘蔗良种）和北塘村（果桑）上榜[3]。

镇情材料称，2024年全镇地区生产总值为21.6028亿元，同比增长0.8%；三次产业的增加值依次为10.5829亿元、1.4625亿元和9.5575亿元，固定资产投资增长了13.4%[4]。同年动工的大项目是遂溪县的一座新型储能电站，总投资约10亿元；鱼龙湖商业街也已建成并开始营业[4]。另据百度百科，2019年镇内共有24家工业企业，规模以上的3家[1]。

文化[edit]

北坡游鱼：据镇情材料，这一民俗始于清康熙年间，传承三百多年。元宵节时各户扎制造型不一的鱼灯，结伴在村社间巡游[4]。2018年5月它入选广东省非物质文化遗产；2024年2月，镇里办起第一届游鱼文化周，据称前来的人数超过10万[4]。

当地村落一般供奉白马大王、华光大帝和土地公，村民有“做社”、“点灯”和元宵祭拜的习俗；一份对北坡村落的整理记录了赵屋村、虾沟村、下黎村等村的族谱、宗祠、古井和庙宇，详见各村条目[5]。

名胜古迹[edit]

遂溪县鱼龙湖休闲度假村在2024年被评为国家3A级旅游景区[4]。
