平石村在广东省湛江市遂溪县黄略镇东北部，共有11个自然村（石板、深堀、枯楼、油行、黄泥、书房仔、南坑、东边村、水门、谷庭、平石内村），村委会设在平石村，面积约16平方千米[2]。百度百科称它是湛江郑姓大村，也是一个革命村庄[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

1957年以前称平石乡，1958年组建平石大队。1983年重设平石乡，1986年建村民委员会，1989年设管理区，1999年设立村民委员会，此后一直沿用[1]。2019年9月，平石村被列为2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位[1]。

文化[edit]

1899年遂溪抗法团练设6个营，平石是其一；同年10月法军偷袭总部，团练组织华封、平石、麻章三村村民反击，后来还有平石大捷[3]。村里的年例在正月十八游神，正月十五游灯[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

百度百科介绍的景点有石门海古渡口、铁头岭、平石小学的古炮楼和郑氏宗祠；列为村中名人的有郑为之、郑星燕[2]。
