历史沿革[edit]

村名的由来是8条村联合组成一个村民委员会[1]。

清代隶属开平县长静都，民国年间划入第二区联安乡。新中国成立后先是第六区联合乡，1955年归马冈区联合乡；1961年起为马冈公社联合大队，1962年一度改属公安公社，1963年又回马冈公社。其后经乡（1984年）、管理区（1989年）两级建制，1993年归开平市马冈镇，1999年成为村民委员会[1]。

联合村在「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」名单中，项目是马冈鹅，名单由广东省农业农村厅于2020年8月公布[1]。
