北湖村是江门市开平市马冈镇所辖的行政村之一，村委会在马冈镇路南片，距镇政府3公里[1]。下分13条自然村，村情材料记载人口1890人、495户，耕地1850亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

原村民委员会设在北湖小学旁，因而得名[1]。

清代隶属开平县长静都，民国年间划入第二区马冈乡。新中国成立后归第十一区，1955年属马冈区，1963年属马冈公社，称北湖大队。此后建制依次改为乡（1984年）和管理区（1989年）；开平1993年撤县设市时划归马冈镇，到1999年成为村民委员会[1]。

人口民族[edit]

村委会管辖区的人口为1890人（495户），其中劳动力约700人[1]。

经济[edit]

村集体2009年的收入为6万元，农民人均年收入为2900元[1]；村里有党员35人[1]。

文化[edit]

2020年11月，北湖村被授予「第六届全国文明村镇」称号；2020年12月，列入「2020年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单[1]。
