马冈墟社区位于江门市开平市马冈镇的中心区，是镇政府所在的集镇，社区居委会办公地点在马冈圩和兴街53号[1]。圩市清康熙初年建成[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

建圩之处原是一座小山冈，土名“五马团槽”，社区由此得名[1]。圩市建于清康熙初年（1662—1669年）[1]。

社区的现行名称始于1999年，此前是管理区：1987年隶开平县马冈镇时设马冈墟管理区，1993年开平撤县设市，转属开平市的马冈镇[1]。
