蓢畔村是开平市沙塘镇东南部的行政村，距镇政府2公里，分16个村民小组，899户，共3261人，耕地2000亩。[1]

地名由来[edit]

办高级社时，蓢南、群庆、畔群三个社并在一起，新名字各取「蓢南」中的「蓢」与「畔群」中的「畔」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代在开平县平康都的范围内，到民国时期归第一区五美乡，1949年后归第十区蓢畔乡，1955年归长沙塘区。1961年隶苍城公社，1962年转属沙塘公社，称蓢畔大队。[1]

1984年设蓢畔乡；1992年起隶属沙塘镇，名蓢畔管理区；1999年定为蓢畔村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

集体收入以鱼塘、石场和饭店为主，2009年为23.8万元；年人均收入6233元，约六成劳动力外出务工。[1] 2019年9月，该村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
