清湖塘村是开平市沙塘镇东南部的行政村，距镇政府3公里，下设3个村民小组，人口1544人、417户，耕地1250亩。[1]
地名由来[edit]
辖下有清湖塘、凰村、扶洞、扶洞新村四个自然村，以清湖塘一村为主，村委会驻地也在那里，村名因此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代在开平县平康都的范围内，到民国时期归第一区五美乡，1949年后归第十区，1955年归长沙塘区。1961年编入苍城公社，名清湖塘大队，翌年改隶沙塘公社。[1]
1984年设清湖塘乡；1992年起隶属沙塘镇，名清湖塘管理区；1999年定为清湖塘村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
集体收入在2009年为4万元，农民人均收入为6172元，约28%的劳动力外出务工。[1] 2017年10月，该村获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予的首批广东省卫生村称号。[1]
