河西社区是广东省佛山市高明区杨和镇的居民委员会，驻地在杨梅河西岸，名称由此而来；2004年由上巷、坐各、桂村三个村委会合并设立。[1][3]全社区54.5平方公里，分23个村民小组。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，上巷、大塘面、边头、桂村、丽塘等村同属崇化乡杨梅都。1951年12月起设坐各乡，1958年设坐各大队，归三洲公社；1963年另设上巷、桂村两个大队，属杨梅公社。1987年设坐各、上巷、桂村三个村委会，隶杨梅镇。[3]

2004年三个村委会撤销，并设河西社区居民委员会；2005年改属杨和镇。[3]

人口与经济[edit]

小组名称有上巷、大塘面、边头、村咀、松咀等，也有坐各、坪江、桂村、龙山、吉庆，以及上九土、下九土、三石、下山坑等。常住人口约1万，其中户籍5665人。2013年村、组两级的集体经济收入合计500万元，经联社占30万元，各经济社占470万元。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，社区获广东省卫生村称号；2023年5月，所属上巷村、坐各村获2022年广东省卫生村称号；2024年1月，社区定为广东省2023年度民主法治示范村（社区）。[1]
