东区社区在佛山市南海区桂城街道的三山片区东部，处于南海区最东端，东、北两侧隔河对着广州，邻近南海国际货柜码头。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

三山港区政府成立于1995年，三山被分为三个街道办事处，东区为其中之一，1996年6月12日挂牌；1999年6月改为村民委员会，2011年「村改居」后设居民委员会。[1] 社区下辖4个村民小组。[2]
