凤鸣社区是佛山市南海区桂城街道的主城区社区，由渔民上岸定居形成。渔民上岸后，在三山乡冲元村的鸡啼坊一带聚居成村，初名鸡鸣村，后改雅称凤鸣。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
这里的居民祖上来自南海、鹤山、三水、番禺、广州等地，世代在船上生活、捕鱼。1958年各地先后成立8个渔业社，次年并为南海县渔业社并改称渔业人民公社；1967年起渔民陆续上岸定居，1973年在三山建起东风渔业村，1987年2月渔业区改称凤鸣镇。[1] 2023年4月，凤鸣社区列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村创建单位」名单。[1]
