历史沿革[edit]
叠南的村级建制与相邻的叠北同步演变，由生产大队改回乡，再经管理区、管理处，1999年定为村委会；1985年7月划归桂城管辖。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
辖区内的江头古村明代中期开村，已有五百多年历史，保留岭南水乡风貌，村中有江氏宗祠、遁叟江公祠和古民居群，其中江氏宗祠始建于清康熙五十九年（1720年）。[1]
文化[edit]
叠滘（别称双溪）由叠南、叠北两个社区组成，百度百科记载其龙船漂移习俗形成于明代，现为佛山市非物质文化遗产项目，并传承国家级非遗「十番」锣鼓及飞钹技艺；另有茶基村何氏宗祠、叠滘书院等历史建筑。[2]
