夏东社区位于佛山市南海区桂城街道，因处在夏教之东而得名，面积2.2平方千米，北隔佛山水道与广州相望，下辖涌口、二洲、三洲、五房沙、孔溪五个村小组。[1] 2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局将其列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村创建单位」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

夏东原属夏教乡，1952年起单称夏东乡，其后经大队、乡人民政府、村民委员会、管理区办事处等阶段，2011年「村改居」后设居民委员会。[1]
