江滨社区在佛山市南海区桂城街道的东部旧城区，东靠东平水道，西邻永安路，管辖面积0.64平方千米。[1][2] 居委会于2002年11月成立，办公地址在平洲永安中路1号。[2]

辖区有飞行电器、广东电缆厂等18家工厂企业，商业方面有平洲新市场、海天商场及380多间商铺；社区获桂城街道、南海区两级文明社区称号，活动中心备有门球场、乒乓球室、棋牌室和书画廊。[2]
