洋美村在小北山下，铜盂镇东北侧，半丘陵，因地处田洋尽头，原名洋尾寮，后改雅称洋美；明安里即在村内。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

元至元二年（1336年），卓姓先人到此搭寮建村；解放后林、吴、翁、余等姓村民同居一村。1958年起为洋美农业生产大队，1984年改为乡，1986年改设村委会。[1]

人口经济[edit]

全村2120人（383户），耕地458亩；村中有1950年修筑的孤坑水库，容量21.6万立方米，灌溉80公顷。工副业有砖瓦、手袋、服装和工艺制品。洪和公路穿村而过。[1]

村内的明安里是香港企业家吴镇明夫妇捐资兴建的潮汕民居建筑群，明安里的情况见铜盂镇一条。[1]
