新岐村在铜盂镇西南部，三面环水，由新厝、下岐尾、潮下三个自然村组成，名称取「新厝」之新与「下岐尾」之岐。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
南宋淳熙二年（1175年）建下岐尾村，明成化四年（1468年）建新厝村，明万历八年（1580年）建潮下村；1958年三村合并为新岐农业生产大队，隶铜盂公社，1984年改为乡，1986年改设村委会。[1]
人口经济[edit]
全村2858人，耕地410亩，种水稻、甘薯；改革开放后村民兴办塑料加工厂。村近练江，素有官渡「林人渡」之称。[1]
