湖边村是广东省汕头市潮阳区海门镇下辖的行政村。村子在大湖之滨，故名；明隆庆《潮阳县志》已载有湖边村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

唐至元代属潮阳县新兴乡；明清至民国初先后属县廓都、附廓都，1960年称湖边大队，属海门公社。[1]

人口经济[edit]

据博雅地名网，村位于潮阳城区南8公里、海门镇北部。2013年全村2788人、512户，集体拥有土地7079.2亩，以农业为主，种植水稻、甘薯、花生、大豆，兼做淡水养殖，当年集体总收入20.3万元。村党支部1957年成立，该村又被称为侨乡和革命老区。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内有潮阳八景之一的“大湖晴波”，村东北为大湖山，南麓有惠福庙，俗称大湖宫，后改称大湖神庙。据载唐元和十四年（819年）韩愈曾在此祭神，原址已废，只留石柱础；明弘治年间庙迁建于村中，存有韩愈祭文三篇和进士李龙碑记石刻；1987年又在原址复建，庙东侧有韩庙。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2026年1月，湖边村获评广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村，并列入2025年广东省“美丽庭院”特色村名单。[1]
