蝴蝶社区是汕头市潮阳区棉北街道下辖的社区，位于街道东部，南邻五三，东邻棉田，北靠海边[1]。村子由清嘉庆年间（1796—1820年）的先人创建，山形像蝴蝶，故取此名[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

嘉庆年间有先人来此开村，取名蝴蝶村。其后的沿革依次是：1958年设蝴蝶大队，1983年复称蝴蝶村，1988年为管理区，1999年为居委会，沿用至今[2]。
