五二社区是汕头市潮阳区棉北街道下辖的社区，在街道东北部，东南邻五三社区，西北邻蝴蝶社区，东北邻棉田社区，国道324线从辖区经过[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

名称来自1950年成立的五联片区，该村在片区中排第二。博雅地名网所录村史称，先人自潮安庵埠镇的仙溪迁来建屋，起初叫新厝村，创村于明洪武年间（1368—1398年）；改称五二村是在1950年，其后1988年成管理区，1999年成居委会[1]。另一份简介则说先人约在明朝中期（1620年左右）自仙溪迁来[2]。

地理环境与人口[edit]

辖区约1平方公里，耕作之外兼营海利，是个纯农社区；水田210亩，山林660亩，另有养殖塭田和旱地各80亩，共341户、1781人[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，社区进了广东省2018年度“民主法治示范村（社区）”的创建名单；2021年12月获评当年的广东省卫生村[1]。
