东家宫社区是汕头市潮阳区棉北街道下辖的社区，在广汕公路与潮揭公路的交界处，位于街道中部，是进入潮阳市区的路口[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

此地原是疍民聚居处，早先叫疍家宫，潮汕话里“疍”与“东”音近，后来演变成今名[1]。清雍正年间（1723—1735年），有疍民捕鱼到这里晒网歇息，后来定居，创立此村[1]。

地理环境与人口[edit]

辖区面积约1平方公里（1500亩），其中山地648亩；全村464户，2268人[2]。

经济[edit]

社区历史上有“建筑之乡”的称呼，传统特产为栳叶；改革开放后向农工贸发展，建有工业区厂房4幢、村民生活市场1700平方米[2]。2021年12月，东家宫社区被广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予2021年广东省卫生村称号[1]。
