东星社区是汕头市金平区广厦街道下辖的社区，名称由辖区内东厦花园与星汇国际花园两个住宅小区各取一字而成。[1]

这片地方起初属珠厦居委会，因事务越来越多而人手、经费都不够，管理压力大，于是珠厦一分为三，东星是其中之一，名称沿用至今。[1]

地理环境[edit]

北接东厦北路，南到科技三街，东临天山北路，西至华山路；居委会在东厦北路175号的商城内。辖区面积0.25平方千米。[1]
