历史沿革[edit]

社区名取自旧时的新湖村，居委辖区原在该村范围内。2002年2月，新湖居委会与三让居委会并为一个居委会，仍用「新湖」为名，沿用至今。[1]

地理环境[edit]

北面是中山路，南面是红领巾路，向西到汕樟路与新陵路，向东到金新路，面积0.19平方千米，下设16个居民小组。[1]
