东溪村是汕头市龙湖区外砂街道辖下的行政村，在外砂河西岸，离324国道约2公里，东邻金洲村，西接富砂村。[1] 它是一座建村约650年的古村，以成群的清代书斋和宅第闻名，被称为“书斋村”。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

东溪原属富砂乡，富砂乡分为东、南、西、北四个社后，这里是东社，起初叫“富东”，后来独立设村，因村北临外砂溪，各取“富东”和“外砂溪”中的一个字，得名东溪。[2]

行政上，东溪1953年划入澄海县第五区凤窖乡，1958年是外砂公社东溪生产大队，1986年11月称东溪村，1999年3月设村民委员会；2003年1月划入龙湖区，2019年改属外砂街道。[3] 1993年，省民政厅认定东溪为革命老区；2009年9月，区委区政府授予它「文明村」称号。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

全村约560户、2864人，分8个村民小组，党员约40人。[1] 集体收入主要来自出租集体用地、池塘和耕地；村民从事种植、养殖和手工钉珠、绣花，近年村里也出现了毛衣、塑料玩具、五金模具等小工厂。[1]

文化[edit]

据当地人介绍，清代康熙初年开海禁以后，东溪人靠远洋船运经商致富，回乡置田、建府第和书斋，这个村因此被叫作“金东溪”。[4] 据2025年的报道，村中尚存24间书斋、36座宅邸，另有十里长的榕树堤，以及长寿庵、七家内、世德堂、大夫第等古迹；其中明新书斋始建于清道光年间，主人是新加坡华侨王万顺，书斋里办过公益夜校识字班。[4]

世代口传的“金东溪传说”，2024年进入汕头市第八批市级非遗名录；村里还整理出版了《小辋川诗集》和《金东溪传说绘本》。[4] 东溪村在2023年被列入广东省「百千万工程」的首批典型村名单。[4] 2025年7月，外砂街道与广东行政职业学院在村里推出以侨批为线索的沉浸式剧本游，串联榕堤、书斋和祠堂。[5]

著名人物[edit]

王君实（1910—1942年）是东溪人，1937年到新加坡，从事文学活动，写下不少宣传抗日的文章。[1]
