林厝村是汕头市龙湖区外砂街道辖下的行政村，位于外砂集镇的中心，东靠澄海区，西接汕头市中心城区，南面是汕头机场，北面临324国道。[1] 村内的蓬沙书院是省级文物保护单位，王天性纪念馆是县级文物保护单位。[4][5]
历史沿革[edit]
据地名志类资料，元末明初，几户来自澄海城的冠山卢姓人家先到本地最高的沙母顶定居，沙母顶一带的池塘都以“卢厝”称呼。元至正十一年（1351年），王氏南岳公从海阳县登云都迁来，后代渐多，明代王姓成为首姓，村称王厝乡，民国时改称外砂上社乡。1956年该乡一分为李厝、林厝两村；为了避免大姓压过小姓，新村以村里人口最少的林姓命名。[2]
1986年11月设林厝居委会，1999年3月成立村民委员会，2003年1月随外砂镇划入龙湖区，2019年改属外砂街道。[3]
经济[edit]
村里约有1030户、6003人，居住面积约120万平方米，有企业50多家，村民多做各种杂工。[1] 2020年8月，林厝村以狮头鹅入选「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」；2020年至2022年的“淘宝村”名单中也有它；2023年4月进入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单；2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
蓬沙书院（文祠）建于清同治年间，由潮州总兵方耀倡建，2012年10月公布为第七批广东省文物保护单位，占地2174平方米，现作外砂村史展览馆使用。[4] 王天性纪念馆为明代古建筑，2000年7月24日公布为县级文物保护单位。[5]
